9 Days Uganda Safari to Murchison Falls National Park, the largest National Park in Uganda to adventure a great wildlife safari experience and explore the most powerful waterfall in the world – Murchison Falls.

This trip also takes you to Queen Elizabeth National Park, Kibale Forest to adventure the different primates in the Bigodi wetland mainly the Chimpanzees.

It proceeds to Bwindi impenetrable forest for mountain Gorilla tracking which habitats almost half of the world’s population of critically endangered mountain Gorillas.

Detailed 9 Days Uganda Safari

Day 1: Kampala – Murchison Falls (Para Lodge)

  • • Early morning, depart your hotel for Murchison Falls National Park in Northwestern Uganda. You may stop at the Luwero triangle a political landmark in Uganda’s history.
  • • while in Nakasongola visit Ziwa Rhino sanctuary for rhino trekking• Have lunch en-route• Proceed to the park through the thick forest and enjoy the warm welcoming gesture of the giggling bushbucks. Cross River Nile to Para lodge by ferry and let the Nile breeze rejuvenate you.• You will dine and spend overnight at para lodge

Day 2: Murchison Falls

  • • After breakfast, head for a morning game drive in this marvelous savanna grassland. Catch sight of the elephants, lions, buffalos, giraffes, and plenty of other animal and bird species.
  • • After lunch, take a boat cruise to the bottom of the falls. A spectacular rainbow awaits as the sun sets over Murchison falls.  The golden hue of the sunset, the rush of the waterfall, and the rainbow arch overhead will give you a lifetime memory to cherish• Return to your lodge for overnight

Day 3 of the 9 Days Uganda Safari: Murchison Falls – Kibale

  • • Exit the Park after breakfast and pass via the top of the falls. Marvel at the mighty falls and indulge in photographing the white waters forcing their way through a rocky gorge, the sound as majestic as a thousand lions roaring.
  • • Drive to Kibale via Masindi and Hoima• Have lunch en-route• Proceed to Fort portal for both dinners and overnight at the accommodation of your choice

Day 4: Kibale Forest

  • • After breakfast, head for chimp tracking in the forest, take a forest walk, view birds and a variety of monkey species, and enjoy the beauty of the multi-canopied forest
  • • Return to your lodge for lunch
  • • Drive to Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary for the interesting nature walk in this swamp managed by the community. Bigodi is a Birder’s haven and one may be able to spot up to 50 species including the grand blue Turaco.• Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight

Day 5 of the 9 Days Uganda Safari: Kibale – Queen Elizabeth

  • • Drive to Queen Elizabeth
  • • Lunch at a hotel on the Mweya Peninsula• Head for a boat cruise at the Kazinga channel along which you can see crocodiles, hippos, elephants, and a range of lovely birds.• Relax at the Mweya peninsular with a view of the Park and the Rwenzori mountains overhead. If lucky, you might spot a leopard in the shrubby thickets of the peninsular.• Spend overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge, a luxurious Lodge with an amazing view of the adjacent Lake Edward.

Day 6:  Queen Elizabeth National Park

  • • Wake up early for a morning game drive and witness the sunrise and magnificent view of Rwenzori mountains (also known as mountains of the moon) You will see lions, elephants, leopards, Uganda kob, bushbucks, several others, and a variety of bird species and vegetation. Return to Mweya for late breakfast.• Thereafter, leave Mweya and head for Kyambura gorge for chimp tracking and bird watching. The nature walk is a rewarding experience.• Return to Mweya for a late lunch• Relax in the evening and overnight at Mweya safari lodge. You can take a swim in the pool, work out in the gym, spoil yourself at the spa and let the day end without worries but only pleasant flashbacks of the trip so far.

Day 7 of the 9 Days Uganda Safari: Queen Elizabeth – Bwindi Impenetrable forest

  • • After an early breakfast, depart from Queen Elizabeth national park and head for Bwindi• Through the Ishasha sector of QENP, witness the rare tree-climbing lions, so rare that Ishasha is one of the three global locations where lions can be seen lounging in trees they have climbed…• Arrive at Bwindi in the evening, dine and spend overnight at the accommodation of your choice.

Day 8: Gorilla tracking

  • • After a very early breakfast, leave your hotel and head for mountain gorilla tracking. The landscape is hilly and steep and offers a variety of animals such as baboons, golden & Columbus monkeys plus plenty of bird species.• For lunch, picnic in the forest while listening to the singing birds, under a shade of green canopies.• Return in the evening to dine and spend the night at your hotel.

Day 9 of the 9 Days Uganda Safari: Bwindi – Kampala

  • • After breakfast checks out and depart for Kampala• Enjoy the beautiful terraced hills of Kigezi sometimes called the Switzerland of Uganda because of the high peaked hills and the extreme cold weather in contrast to the tropical weather of the rest of Uganda.• Have a stop-over in Mbarara at Igongo Cultural center for an interesting and informative tour about the history of the South Western Tribes of Uganda.• Enjoy your lunch at Igongo.  Proceed and arrive in Kampala in the evening.
