Murchison Falls National Park is Uganda’s largest conservation area. It’s a very popular park for the magnificent falls where water squeezes its self into a gorge and a wide number of wildlife species.

Vegetation cover is a combination of grassland and woodland savanna with some parts under forest cover. The dramatic Murchison falls which make the centerpiece of the Murchison Falls National Park with a seasonal rainbow due to the speed at which the Nile water gashes into narrow rocks are worthwhile views.

As you take the boat cruise on the Nile to the bottom of the falls, you will be amazed by the many visitors to the banks of the Nile such as elephants, buffalos, giraffes plus permanent residents such as schools of Hippos and Nile crocodiles.

There are varieties of bird species such as Shoebill, Secretary bird, Bee-eaters, White-crested Turacos among others. Some of the endemic birds such as Pulvell Iladopsis which are found in the Bodongo forest in the southern bank.
